Our artists are real master calligraphers and are ranked at the top of the Japanese calligraphic world.
Calligraphers world in Japan stands on the real hierarchy (seniority) system and people who stand at the top of the pyramid have a very high quality of the calligraphic skill and long experience.
However, we 'Carré MOJI' require to our calligraphers not only skill and experience, but more importantly CREATIVITY to create 'modern calligraphic works as the interior art suitable for modern homes and spaces'. It means our calligraphers are the master calligraphers as well as the top creators and artists.
It is not a easy job to find qualified calligraphers who have both talents. Since I was a up-and-coming professional calligrapher long time ago, I fortunately know many present top calligraphers in Japan.
They were moved by my call that we will create and establish New Japanese Culture with Modern Calligraphy and to offer it with Carré MOJI name to as many people as possible in the world.
In another word, we would like to offer Carré MOJI works as an additional (or alternative) option to (or with) western paintings and lithographs etc., in order to make world people happy,pleasant, relax, heal and cheer up in their living spaces.
Many calligraphers supported this concept but few could create qualified works. (Their brush strokes were very skilful but the creativity was real problem.)
At the end we have appointed 4 top calligraphers for our main creators and 7 more in our list.
Our calligraphers create works capturing the distinctive characteristics of each character (KANJI, KANA, etc.) and Carré MOJI buys them in the shape of papers. And we are responsible for mounting , designing and framing the final works.
Carré MOJI 's key words : Modern, Simple and Cool.
Carré MOJI means 'A comfortable space with MOJI (letters)'.
